Free Bill of Sale Template (Printable PDF)

Instructions: This form will help you create a printable bill of sale for selling a car, truck, motorcycle, or other vehicle. Simply enter the necessary information, click generate, and save or print a copy of your free bill of sale.

If you do not know the details for one of the fields below, you can leave it blank and fill it in later.

Once you generate your custom bill of sale form, there will be a section for the buyer’s and seller’s signature.

Both the buyer and the seller should retain a signed copy of the bill of sale for their own records.

After completing the bill of sale template with the details of the buyer, seller, and vehicle, you should create at least 2 copies.

Both the buyer and the seller should sign and date each of the copies.

The buyer and seller will also need to fill out the title and complete the title transfer process.

If necessary, the seller must also complete an Odometer Disclosure Statement and submit a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability.

Once the paperwork has been filled out and signed and the sale is complete, the buyer will need to register and title the vehicle in their name and get a new insurance policy.
